Check they are connected to the internet!

Step 1

Open database at dev:\vs\1688\infoweb\db\ss_2000.mdb

Open table: t_emailAccounts
check which service they are using in the ''tx_provider'' column

Step 2

Check webmail works for the account details in the database

TSO Host  / Daily (2018):
Webmail - https://webmail.daily.co.uk
or https://webmail.spiderscope.com (causes SSL warning)

Thinking Fish:
Webmail - http://mail.spiderscope.com/Login.aspx

Step 3

Check outlook settings are correct - possibly walk them through the details while setting up an IMAP account on your own PC
Outlook Express:
Menu > Tools > Accounts > Add > Mail >
Display Name: Can be anything, used as the friendly name in the from bit of emails they send
Email Address: Should be the email address for this account (it may be possible to use a different one as this is the reply-to address - can''t be sure though)
Incoming Mail Server Type: POP3 (recommended for PC''s as they don''t have to delete messages) / IMAP (must be IMAP if its a phone)

TSO Host  / Daily (2018):
Incoming Mail Server: imap.daily.co.uk / pop.daily.co.uk (both resolve to same IP)
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.daily.co.uk

Daily (old):
Incoming Mail Server: pop.spiderscope.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail2.spiderscope.com mail.daily.co.uk

Thinking Fish (very old):

Outgoing Mail Server: tfmail.spiderscope.com

Account Name: full email address for this account as seen in database column ''tx_user''
Password: password this account as seen in database column ''tx_pass''
Remember Password: Check this box
Log on using secure password authentication: Leave un-checked!
My Server requires Authentication: Check this box (very important)

Step 4

Apply settings, then test the account.
Example message to copy and paste ....
This is a test message from Spiderscope, your newly setup email account is now receiving mail correctly.
Please replying to this message to confirm that you have received it correctly and that your outgoing email settings are working correctly.
If you have any problems you can contact us on 01827 373 564

Note:
With pop3 there can also be an option to leave messages on the server for X amount of days (30 by default), this may cause the mailbox to gradually fill up, old messages will get deleted when they check the account and the resulting free space will cause a few new messages to appear.
